Obituary of Bonnie M. Beard

Bonnie M. Beard, 64, of Lansingburgh, beloved wife for over 44 years of Patrick W. “Pat” Beard, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of, the late, John Hatch and, the late, Eleanor Mae Merrill Hatch Wright (the late, Robert J. Wright). She was educated in Troy and completed schooling at Troy High School.

Mrs. Beard was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and also like a mom to so many others in the community, having touched their lives.

Bonnie loved to play Bingo, singing, dancing, spending time with her family and in particular hanging out with her grandchildren. Those who knew her, knew that she was always the life of the party. Her favorite pastime was scratch-offs.

Beloved wife of Patrick W. “Pat” Beard, devoted mother of Eleanor Beard, Jamie Beard Ferguson (Del) and Robin Thomas (Lamont), cherished grandmother of Selissa Dukes, La’Qualia Thomas and Saire Dukes, loving sister of Jacqueline Hebert, Sharlene  Maldonado (late, James), Thomas Wright (MC), Robbie Marie Wright, James Wright (Lori), Julie Stephenson and John Hatch, Jr., also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews and their families.

For those attending any of the services listed below, you are asked to wear yellow to honor Bonnie and her favorite color.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 12 Noon to 4:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, (Corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, New York 12182 and also to attend her Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh. Following the Mass, burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.

Bonnie’s family wishes to extend their most sincere gratitude to their relatives, friends, St. Peter’s Oncology Dept., ER, ICU and the many others who provided their assistance and travelled this journey with all of them for the past four years as Bonnie put forward her valiant battled with lung cancer.
