Obituary of Dorothy G. Fogarty

Dorothy G. Fogarty, 92, formerly of Troy, NY and New Port Richey, FL, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Orrin and Lucille Rann Galbraith and was the beloved wife of the late H. Earl Fogarty. She was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School.

Mrs. Fogarty was a Teacher’s Assistant with the Pasco County Schools in New Port Richey, FL.  Dorothy was an avid reader and was a member of the former 1st Presbyterian Church in Lansingburgh.

Devoted mother of; James Bradford “Brad” (Susan) Fogarty and Tammie Fogarty, cherished grandmother of Ryan (Maribeth) Fogarty, Sean (Toni) Fogarty, Erin (Jamie) Fogarty, Henry Earl VanScoy and Samuel (Sarah) VanScoy, and her late brother and sister-in-law Orrin (Barbara) Galbraith.  Dorothy is also survived by 12 adored great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral arrangements will be held at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, New York 12182.  Private interment will be held in Memory Gardens, Colonie.

Dorothy’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush.
