Obituary of Sandra M. Desnoyers
Sandra M. “Sandy” St. Gelais Desnoyers, 74, of Halfmoon, beloved wife for 56 years of Blair W. Desnoyers, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
Born in Cohoes, New York, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Hull St. Gelais and was educated in Clifton Park in the Shenendehowa Central Schools.
Mrs. Desnoyers retired from RACEMARK International in Malta, NY.
Sandy loved camping, being at the beach, the ocean, outdoors, going on car trips and most of all, time spent together with her family.
She had been a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Crescent.
Beloved wife of Blair, devoted mother of Todd W. (Karen) Desnoyers and Brenda L. VanNorden, cherished “Grandma” of Raina Desnoyers, Ryan Desnoyers, Rachel Desnoyers and Zachary VanNorden, sister of Henry St. Gelais, Marcia Bressette, Michelle Gemme, and the late William St. Gelais, Gary St. Gelais, Ronald St. Gelais, and Bruce St. Gelais, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and to St. Mary’s Church Crescent, 86 Church Hill Rd., Waterford, NY 12188 on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m., where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.
The Desnoyers family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude for the loving and compassionate care provided by the Clifton Park Rescue Squad paramedics and from the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Samaritan Hospital.
Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital New England, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01144, in memory of Sandra M. Desnoyers.
