Obituary of Katherine L. (Peth) Werner

Katherine L. (Peth) Werner, 75 of Westport, formerly of Werner Rd., Clifton Park, beloved wife of 48 years to Marvin E. Werner, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023.

Born in Niskayuna, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Betty (Lane) Peth and was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, Class of 1966.

Mrs. Werner was a homemaker with a great love for her family. She and her husband enjoyed traveling the country by car, visiting friends and seeing many landmarks.  She also summered in Crown Point for many years.

In addition to her husband Marvin, she is the devoted mother of Amy (Paul) Serafini, cherished grandmother of Nicole (Kevin) Archibald, Isabella Serafini and Nina Serafini, cherished great grandmother of Rowan and Willow Archibald, stepmother of Marybeth Jette who is also survived by her son Camryn Jette, sister of the late William (late Nancy) Peth, Jr., sister-in-law to Donna (late Robert) Searles, also survived by nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Interment will be held in the Clifton Park Village Cemetery at a later time.

Katherine’s family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Margaret and her staff at Shaker Place Buckingham Unit for the wonderful care that was provided.
