Obituary of Delores Ann Henderson
Delores Ann Pompey Henderson, 60, of Troy, beloved wife of Billie R. Henderson, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Henrietta Pompey Robinson and Roosevelt Robinson.
She received her education in the Troy School District.
Delores was brought up and taught Christian living and values under Pastor Elder Percy Walker at Bethlehem Temple Church where she accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
As we all know she loved to shop and dress was her favorite thing. She loved to dance and sing, but most of all she loved her family and anyone that came across her path. He r concern for others was a perfect example of God’s love.
She later relocated to Georgia where she continued to work in the medical field for many years.
Delores was the beloved wife of Billie R. Henderson; devoted mother of Tanisha Floyd of Troy, NY, Shadeiah Henderson of Georgia and Sanquan Floyd of Georgia, stepmother of William Henderson, Jr. of Albany, NY, grandmother of Kharya, Aaliyah, Mierre, Raymier, Miara, Rayquan, Zamyra, Zymier, Santana and Sarai, sister of Steven Lorenzo Robinson, Jermaine Robinson, Mary Lee Pinto, Tracey Robinson, Cynthia Robinson all of Troy, NY and the late Alberta King and Denise Robinson; also survived by her brothers-in-law, 7 aunts, 6 uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents and her sisters, she was also predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Going Home Service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the New Jerusalem Home Of The Saved Church, 160 Sheridan Ave., Albany, NY 12210, with Pastor, Dr. Timothy L. Harper, officiating. Viewing will be held at the Church that morning from 10:00 to 10:55 a.m.
Interment will be held in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
