Obituary of Normand R. Racine

Normand R. "Norm" Racine, 66, of First St. in South Troy, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 10, 2017. Born and educated in Derby, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Leo and Pauline Burnum Racine. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Norm had been a truck driver employed by STAPLES and previously by KAMCO Supply. Norm was a devout Christian who read the Bible everyday as well as partook in daily services. He was also a gifted crafter who made many God's Eye, loved to make lures and was creative in doing so. Norm also an accomplished fisherman. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Devoted father of Estina Racine, cherished grandfather of Brenda Racine, Jacklynn and Alivia Buckley, loving brother of Marcell Racine and Rosemary (Martin) Lajeunesse, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, 565 Fourth Ave. Troy, New York 12182. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will be held at on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
