Obituary of Karen T. Watts
Karen T. Gannon Watts, 66, of Brunswick, beloved wife for 45 years to Frank W. Watts, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, September 18, 2023 at her daughter Karen’s home in Belchertown, MA.
Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Myers Gannon. She was a graduate of Averill Park High School and received her Associated Degree in Nursing through BOCES.
Karen was a dedicated Nurse at Samaritan Hospital in Troy and previously at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.
Above all, Karen loved doting on her family, friends, and pets. She was overjoyed, watching her grandsons, play soccer, and sing at school. She also enjoyed, going to church, the friendly people she encountered while running her regular errands, Bingo, Hallmark movies, good weather, no potholes, cutting coupons, grocery shopping, and the Yankees….. maybe not as much this season.
Beloved wife of Frank W. Watts; devoted mother of Barbara (Chad) Klein and Karen (Brian Mosio) Watts, sister to her twin Kevin (Darlene) Gannon, Walter (Pam) Gannon, Marion (John) Barber, twins Margaret (Mark) King and Patrick (the late, Sharon) Gannon and the late, Charlene (the late, Mike) Hanczaryk and the late, Frank (Suzette) Gannon; cherished grandmother of Travis and Nicholas Klein, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m, celebrated by her cousin Pastor Gary Strubel at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner and Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation that day from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be held in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
The Watts family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to the Samaritan Hospital 6th Floor doctors, nurses and staff for their loving care which had been provided.
