KATHERINE J. SPEANBURGH

Katherine J. (Dowd) Speanburgh, 70, of Melrose, beloved wife for nearly 50 years to Donald W. Speanburgh, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her family on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Jean Duncan Dowd and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs. Speanburgh was a dedicated housewife, mother and grandmother.

She loved spending time at the family cabin in Ohio, NY and more than anything else, spending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of Donald, devoted mother of Justin (Aime) Speanburgh, Kristofer Speanburgh and Amanda (Michael) Wertman, cherished grandmother of Allison Speanburgh, Mason Speanburgh, Dillon Speanburgh and Bryce Speanburgh, sister of Thomas (Cathy) Dowd and John Dowd, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Katherine’s wishes, there will be no public funeral services.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the White-Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 58 Leversee Rd. (RT-40 in Speigletown) Troy, NY 12182.
