Obituary of Betty J. Schraver
Betty Julia Schraver, 94, of Brunswick, formerly of Buffalo, NY and Summerfield, FL, beloved wife of the late Robert S. “Bob” Schraver, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Eddy Heritage House Nursing Home in Troy, NY.
Born and educated in Albany, New York, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ingaborg Olsen Giuliano.
Betty had worked at CVS in Buffalo, NY for 25 years before retiring.
Betty enjoyed/loved crafts and gardening.
She was/had been a member of the Red Hatters Society in Florida.
Devoted mother of Barbara (late, H. James “Jimmy”) Magee of Brunswick, NY, Robert D. Schraver of Rotterdam, NY, Bonnie (Mark) Willis of San Antonio, TX, and Brian Schraver of Colorado, sister of Raymond Giuliano, Rose (Bill) McGarry and the late Eugene Giuliano, the late George Giuliano and the late Alice Sicko, also survived by 5 grandchildren; Scott (Kelly) Magee, Shawn Magee, Robert Schraver, Channing Wertz and Samantha (Tyler) Snedden, 4 great grandchildren; Ashley Magee, Courtney Magee, Cassidy Magee and Liam Magee and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Betty’s wishes there are no public calling hours.
She will be laid to rest at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871 on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. For those attending, please gather and wait within the entrance to the cemetery in the right lane along the curb of the boulevard that day between 1:10 p.m. and 1:25 p.m as we will be escorted to the ceremony site at 1:30 p.m.
