Obituary of Carl M. Cipriani
Carl M. “Chip” Cipriani, 81, of Manor Blvd., beloved husband for 48 years of the late Susann E. "Sue" Patti Cipriani, peacefully entered into eternal life at home, surrounded and in the loving comfort and care of his family on Friday, October 27, 2023.
Born in Troy, New York, he was the son of the late Guido and Alida Belli Cipriani, was a graduate of LaSalle Institute in Troy and served in the NYS Army National Guard
Carl was President, Owner & Operator of Roofscan, Inc. in Troy. He retired over 30 years ago from NYS OGS in Albany.
Chip was a man who if you met him, you loved him, He loved camping in Chestertown and boating on Schroon Lake, wintering in the Caribbean, scuba diving, guns and especially spending time with his family. Chip was honored with a reef, being named after him in November 2022 in Beqa Lagoon, Fiji called “Cipriani Pass”.
Devoted father of David (fiancée Sabrina Yetto) Cipriani, and the late Michael (Michelle (Brian) Lutz) Cipriani and the late Anthony (Karen Richardson Bianco) Cipriani, father-in-law of Lizabeth and Tracy Cipriani; brother of Paul (Melissa) Cipriani, cherished grandfather of Haylee, Kimberly, Ava, Michael, Nicholas, Derrick and Evan, also survived by his step-grandchild Madison Bianco, his great grandchildren and his best friend, the wonderful Shamus, his loving canine.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by his Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Shrine Church, 28 State St., Troy, NY 12180
Burial will be held in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
Chip’s family and friends wishes to express their most sincere gratitude for the loving care which has been provided to him and his family that allowed for Chip to remain in the comfort of his home by Tammy Collins and Sabrina Yetto, Chip’s loving cousin Dr. Susan Weaver who was there with any guidance and to offer a hand and to Community Hospice for their assistance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.alz.org or to Alzheimer’s Association, 1003 Loudon Rd., Cohoes, NY 12047 in memory of Carl M. “Chip” Cipriani.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, NY 12182.
