GERALD M. SNYDER, SR.

Gerald M. “Jerry”/”Big Jerry” Snyder, Sr., 72 of Lansingburgh, beloved husband of over 42 years of Lisa A. Bova Snyder of Lansingburgh, peacefully entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Leona Bird Snyder and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Troy High School, both in Troy, and then continued his education at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy.

Jerry had been employed as a Meat Department Associate at the Price Chopper in Lansingburgh, and previously employed at Cascades Paper Co. in Waterford, American Seal Paint & Decorating in Troy and at the Albany Public Market in Menands.

The most important things to Big Jerry were sports, basketball, his boys and his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Lisa, devoted father of Gerald M. Snyder, Jr., Brad Bova and the late Guy Allen Snyder, loving siblings; William (Cathy), Clifford (Belinda), the late Charles (Colleen) Herbie, Raymond, Carl, Debbie and Cindy, also survived by 7 grandchildren and a large extended Snyder family to include his nieces, nephews and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and to the Funeral Service which will be offered at 4:00 p.m. that afternoon all at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.
