He was one of a kind. Until Leah's opened, I really did not know Bill. I was actually a bit intimidated by him. A Round Lake legend. I consider myself lucky to have spent time with him, often at the table at Leahs, sometimes stopping by his porch. I once was working on a project in the village that I felt I could not pull off alone, so I went to the porch and, like someone visiting a mafia don in a movie, asked for his support...which he offered, and the project's completion was thus assured. I really enjoyed his sharing stories of his growing up in Cohoes (they had an outhouse) and how Round Lake was in his younger days. I consider him lucky to have spent his life in the village and passing away in one of the homes in which he lived when young. I will miss him as I know many will. RIP Bill....

This is tough, the most special memories to me are how Uncle Bill made Cleanup-Day in Round Lake so much fun and how committed the village was because of his enthusiasm and Great leadership. It made me understand the importance of community to this day and how to lead by example.
Our Holiday meals, especially Thanksgiving were out of this world. It was where I met all of my awesome aunts, uncles and cousins, those were the times! I also remember when Uncle Bill and Aunt Shirley watched us growing up. We would race eating corn on the cob, kinda Pac-Man Style! Lastly about 14 years ago we cooked the most exciting Indian dinner together, we whipped up Shrimp Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice, Naan Bread etc. It was a super meal we enjoyed with Aunt Colleen, Aunt Shannon and my parents.
My parents gave me my middle name after my GF, Uncle Bill and I have always been very proud to own it. I usually don't share everything as my memories are sacred but this is a time to celebrate your life, RIP Uncle Bill.
Thanks V/R,
Scott William Cooper
