Obituary of Matthew Merritt Daniels

Matthew Merritt Daniels, 62, of Green Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Catskill, and former longtime resident of Jonesville and Clifton Park, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Germany on June 27, 1961 and was the son of the late Curtiss D. and Bertha Cordsen Daniels. Matt was educated in the Shenendehowa School District. He served honorably in the United States Navy. He was an outstanding athlete, competing in baseball, hockey, bowling and golf. In his early years, Matt posted a two-over-par, 75, for a one shot victory in the Seventh Annual Town of Clifton Park Junior Golf Tournament at Willows Club. He had worked for many years at Country Club Acres as a wood worker and cabinet maker.

He is the dear brother of Christipher J. Daniels of Ballston Lake.

Funeral service will be private from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, New York 12065.
