Obituary of Jeremiah F. Donoghue

Jeremiah F. Donoghue, 75, died on Thursday May 18th at his residence. Born in Boston, MA he is the son of the late Nellie and Thomas Donoghue.

 

Jeremiah was employed as a Statistician for the United States General Accounting Office in Albany for over 30 years. He was a long time communicant of Corpus Christi Church and volunteered his time at the food pantry with the church. Jeremiah also volunteered as a tax preparer through AARP and was a member of the G.E. Golf League at Mohawk Golf Course. He was an avid Washington Redskins and Boston Red Sox fan.

 

Jeremiah is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia Walsh Donoghue; his children, Thomas Donoghue, Michael Donoghue, Bernadette (Ken) Legasse, Kevin Donoghue, Brian Donoghue, Mark (Jennifer) Donoghue, Sean (Candace) Donoghue, Timothy (Wendy) Donoghue and Kelly (Brandon) Vedder. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and his nephew, George Josephson. Jeremiah was predeceased by his brother, Philip Donoghue and his sister, Mary Josephson.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jeremiah on Monday May 22nd at 9:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 2001 Route 9 Round Lake, NY 12151. Burial will follow at Jonesville Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home on Sunday May 21st from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

 

Those wishing to remember Jeremiah in a special way may make memorial contributions in his name to either the Corpus Christi Church or the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1 Marcus Blvd. Albany, NY 12205.
