Obituary of Ann E. Loucks
Ann E. Keyser Loucks, 75, of Troy, beloved wife for 54 years to Dale H. Loucks, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.
Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Charles “Jack” and Rose Mary Santoro Keyser and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and St. Catherine’s Infant Home Child Care Technician School.
Mrs. Loucks retired as Administrative Assistant from Benet Laboratories at the Watervliet Arsenal after 23 years of dedicated service.
Ann loved all varieties of craft making, whether it was sewing, knitting, card-making and arts and crafts in general. She also loved gardening and was took pride in her herbs and poinsettias. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brunswick Elks BPOE #2556, presently the Treasurer of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes Our Lady of Victory Council 14164 and was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Sycaway. Ann was also very civic minded and volunteered tirelessly to benefit those at the Roarke Center at St. Anthony’s Church as well as The Eddy where she taught crafts and coordinated activities.
Beloved wife to Dale, devoted mother of David R. (Grace) Loucks (Averill Park) and Craig H. (Kelly) Loucks (Cary, NC), cherished “NaNa” to Ariel, Aidan, Hailey, Andrew and Cameron, loving sister of Joseph Keyser, Thomas Keyser, Michael (Judith) Keyser and the late Mary Alice Keyser, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 N. Lake Ave. (at the corner of Marshland Ct. in Sycaway) Troy, NY 12180 on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville at Noon.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180 on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
