Obituary of Timothy F. Brogan
Timothy “Tim” F. Brogan passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 6, 2024. Born July 27, 1955 in Port Chester, NY, the son of Sonja (Carlson) and William Brogan. He was predeceased by his parents.
Tim’s long working career was as a Laborer for Local 190, where he worked up until his retirement. He was noted by his co-workers as loyal, hardworking and always ready for the long workdays. Husband, Father, Uncle, Brother, Friend, Tim’s number one priority was to his wife of 24 years, Lisa, and his daughter, Madeline. Tim loved being a Husband and Father, always taking the time after a long workday to prepare a meal for the family, and take good care of the many things around the home. Growing up in Port Chester, Tim was a devoted brother, always looking out for his sisters and wrestling with his big brother. The family has wonderful memories of spending summers at his Uncle Johnny and Tante Lilly’s house on Long Island, fishing on the lobster boats. His passion for fishing (especially with his Dad) and watching the Yankees, the Giants and the History Channel, remained with him his whole life.
Movies to be watched over and over included The Quiet Man, any John Wayne feature, and Star Wars. Mention a party for one of his nieces or nephews to Tim and the response was the same, “We’ll be there”. Christmas Eve at Lisa’s Aunt and Uncle's home was a day that Tim looked forward to each year. Celebrating the 7 fishes, he relished the appetizers, main course and saved the best for last, any dessert that Lisa made! If Tim enjoyed what he was eating, the chef knew and everyone knew! Tim was proud to walk each year in the Alzheimer’s Walk in honor of his Mom and as a road crew volunteer at the Christopher Dailey Memorial 5K on Thanksgiving in Saratoga, in honor of his nephew.
Tim’s love will be missed by his wife Lisa (DeLeo), his daughter Madeline, his brother Jeffrey (Carla), and sisters Kathy (Jerry), and Laur (Christine). Uncle Tim will be missed by many nieces and nephews including the Brogan’s and the DeLeo’s.
