Obituary of Louise M. Rist
Louise M. Rist, 90, formerly of Pittstown, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland.
Born in Rodman, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Lucille Gonzalez Temple, the beloved wife of 56 years of Howard F. Rist, Sr., until his passing on April 10, 2010 and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School.
Louise retired from Our Lady of Victory Church where she was the Parish Executive Assistant for many years. She had previously been employed at Tamarac High School (Brittonkill Central School District) in Brunswick as and Assistant Librarian.
Mrs. Rist enjoyed knitting and sewing and spending time with family.
She was a communicant of the former St. George Catholic Church in Pittstown.
Devoted mother of Howard F. (Margaret O’Brien) Rist, Jr. of Brunswick, Yvonne M. (Joseph) Baho of Lunenburg, MA, Richard A. (Hala Khalafallah) Rist of Gaithersburg, MD, Dean E. (Holly) Rist of Pepperell, MA, and mother-in-law of Marsha A. Rist of Gaithersburg, MD, sister of Rose Temple of Raymertown, Pauline (late, Larry) LaPoint of Averill Park and the late Richard Temple, cherished “Grandma” of Brandon and Brittany Baho, Morgan Valencia, Parker and Logan Rist, Andre and Evan Rist and Emma Martin, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 10 to 11 a.m. with her Funeral Service to begin that morning at 11 a.m. both at the Morris – Stebbins – Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180.
Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville at 12:30 P.M.
