Obituary of William H. Boyland

William H. “Bill” Boyland, Jr., 84, of Rexford, beloved husband of the late Theresa J. Nowik Boyland, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

Born in Troy, he was raised and educated in Watervliet and was the son of the late William H. and Angeline Stellone Boyland.

Mr. Boyland was the President, Owner & Operator of J & B Roofing in Cohoes and had also been the proud owner of Double B Farms in Rexford.

Bill loved horses, fishing and riding his golf cart. He had previously belonged to many professional construction associations while in the roofing business. He was a member of the Grafton Trail Riders and had previously been a member of several rod & Gun clubs.

Devoted father of Debra (fiancé Stephen Radz) Boyland, Tina Strohmeier, William H. Boyland, III and Dan S. (Brenda) Boyland, loving brother of Shirley Kozlowski and Ann Marie (Weston) Cross, cherished PaPa and Grandpa of Steven and Andrea Strohmeier, Daniel S. (Brittany) Boyland, Jr., Kayla, Zach, Nicholas and Tess Boyland, adored Big PaPa to 8 cherished great grandchildren and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Interment will be held in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Waterford.
