Obituary of Gail D. Meager

Dateline: Saratoga Springs, New York

Gail D. Meager, 84 of Lawrence St. in Saratoga Springs and former Mechanicville and Malta resident, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Saratoga Hospital. She was born on Sept. 16, 1939 in Troy, NY and was the daughter of the late David W. and Ruby A. Van Horn Tritt. She was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, class of 1957. She had been an insurance agent and broker for Bernardo, Goldstein and Quinn Insurance Col. in Albany. She spent over 50 years in the insurance business. Gail enjoyed golf, traveling and boating with family and friends. She was always active in her church. She had been a member of Clifton Park Community Church and Grace Fellowship, Halfmoon. 

She is the devoted mother of her twins, Andrew J. (Lynn) Meager of Mechanicville and Mark L. (Beth) Meager of Buffalo; Sister of Barbara (Ralph) Mays, Jon Boutwell and the late Edward (surviving, Kathleen)  Seabury,  Donna, Sandy and Paul; cherished grandmother of Paul (Mary) Jacobs, Jessica (Jedediah) Jackson, Ashley (Tim) Jones, Olivia Meager and Andrew Meager, Jr.; cherished great grandmother of Lukas, Logan, Ava and Levi;  Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Calling hours will be from 1-3 pm Thursday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

A memorial service will start at 1:45 pm in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Dunning Street Cemetery, Malta, NY
