Obituary of Mattie M. Randolph
Mattie Mae Randolph, 92, of Troy, peacefully transitioned into eternal life in the loving comfort of her family at home on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Born and educated in Laurens, SC, she was the daughter of the late George and Susie Mae Hall Boyd and the beloved wife of the late Daniel Randolph.
Mrs. Randolph was a Private Duty Nurse having provided her loving care, comfort, and support to many over the years.
Mother Randolph was a faithful member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, where she was a member of the Choir, Pastor's Aid, Sister's of Ruth, and the Order of the Eastern Star #293.
Mrs. Randolph loved fashion, shopping, cooking, fishing, traveling, and occasionally visiting the casino. Most of all, she was always there for her family who she loved so much, and offering her helping hand to anyone in need.
Devoted mother of Annette Jordan-Randolph of Troy, Danita Randolph of Troy, the late Vanessa D. Randolph, the late Marilyn Greene-Randolph, the late Jannie Edmunds-Randolph, and the late Lorlinda Randolph. Cherished as a grandmother by Jimika Taylor, Preston Edmunds, Brittany McNair, Danielle Howard, Karshunna Wallace, Carl Wallace Jr., Brianna Jordan, and the late Crystal Edmunds. Adored great-grandmother of Zionna Edmunds, Moriah Edmunds, Jaiden Davis, Demariae Hunter, Angie Edmunds, and Vida Edmunds. Beloved sister of Willie George Boyd Jr., Sammie Richard Boyd, Rosella Boyd, Casper Boyd, Marion Boyd, Gennette Boyd, the late George (late Gardenia) Boyd, the late Elizabeth Thompson, and the late Lillian Robinson; as well as dear sister-in-law of Lois Danzy. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, their families, relatives, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 Fifth Avenue, Troy, New York 12180. Home Going Service in Church will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.
Mother Randolph's family would like to express their most sincere appreciation and gratitude for the care and support from her caregivers at the Schenectady Center, Community Hospice of Rensselaer, Bethel Baptist Church family, Estelle "Odessa" Lewis, Felecia "Cha-Cha" Bellamy and Jaylen Miller Ned, for their compassionate and loving care and support.
