Obituary of Mary Carmel Rustin
Mary Carmel “Carm” Palladino Rustin, 93, a sixteen year resident of Greenfield Center and formerly longtime resident of Lansingburgh, beloved wife for 53 years to Irvin W. “Irv” Rustin, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home on Monday, November 11, 2024.
Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine Grazioso Palladino and was a graduate of Troy High School and the LPN Program at BOCES.
Mrs. Rustin was self employed as a care giving LPN.
Carm had been a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh and served as a volunteer on the St. Augustine’s School Bingo Committee while games were played at the Troy Atrium and was a current communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Greenfield Center. She loved spending time with her family which was above everything else in the world to her.
Beloved wife to Irv, devoted mother of Mary Jo Cioffi, Michael I. Rustin and Jude C. (Josephine) Rustin, cherished grandmother of Faith, Lily and Grant, adored great grandmother of Maxine and Bella, also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Alphonse Palladino and his wife Gloria.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her cousin Rev. Richard Carlino on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 3159 State Hwy 9N, Greenfield Center, NY 12833.
There are no public calling hours.
Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
