Obituary of Alex A. Christopher
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and friend Alex Christopher.
He passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Born the first son of Alfred Sr. and Mary Christopher, formally of Utica, New York. Alex has been a resident of the Pittsburgh area since arriving in Pennsylvania in November of 1974.
He attended Center High School and then graduated in 1976. Alex then went on to receive his degree from the Community College of Beaver County specializing in Business Administration.
Alex possessed an exceptional intellect and an incredible memory and recall of historical facts. In addition to these blessings, Alex had always been fascinated with Math and Computer Technology, where he had been focused for many years. His interest in this area began as a young adult during the early years of both software and hardware development.
Sparked by his interest in business and entrepreneurial leadership, Alex and his brother Fred created and managed several successful businesses throughout the years. This partnership solidified, while building upon their strong bond as siblings and true brothers.
Alex enjoyed music and concerts with classic groups like the Beatles, Billy Joel, The Eagles, John Fogerty to mention a few. He was very keen on watching sports, loved football, and hockey, and travel to see his favorite Pittsburgh Steeler team nationwide.
A favorite pastime was to travel to one of his hot spots such as Las Vegas, where he enjoyed playing Poker and Blackjack. He spent many an evening engaging with his closest buddies. As an additional area of fascination was his lifelong passion for Numismatics.
Alex had the biggest heart, as big as the sky. His generosity was unmatched, always giving to friends and family alike.
This made him totally unique and special, a rare quality that few possess. His greatest satisfaction was to know that he always tried to make things better for everyone that touched his life.
Alex was a lifelong dog lover, his latest attachment was to Jake his amazing Min Pin Yorkie mix who he spent the last 9 years by his side. Earlier during his life, Alex had another companion named Mikey, a Black Lab Beagle blend who also provided him with many years of friendship and loyalty.
Alex is proceeded in death by his parents, Alfred Sr. and Mary Christopher as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who started their lives in the New York State area.
