Obituary of Thomas W. Welsh
Thomas W. “Cat” Welsh, 68, of Stillwater, beloved husband for 45 years to Ann Marie Dixon Welsh, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on January 2, 2025.
Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Regina F. O’Brien Welsh and was a Class of 1975 graduate at Watervliet High School.
Mr. Welsh was employed at Southworth Milton in Clifton Park for 25 years as a Mechanic.
He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, was a longtime resident of Watervliet and has resided in Stillwater since 1988. Cat enjoyed hunting, gardening, history and The Beatles.
Beloved husband to Ann Marie, devoted father of Travis (Jen) Welsh, Angela Birch, Michael (Cathy) Danforth and Tracey (Mike) Carroll, brother of Regina (Frank) Mooney, Denise (Cal) Goodrich and the late Robert Welsh, cherished grandfather of Christopher Birch, Faith and Ethan Welsh, Michael Danforth, Jr., Shannon and Greg Streeter, James, Jonathan, David and Christopher Carroll and the late Alexander Danforth, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Entombment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
