Obituary of Nancy Canter Van Winkle

Nancy Canter Van Winkle of Clifton Park, passed away on October 28, 2017. 
Born and raised in New Harford, NY on September 20, 1931, Nancy was a graduate of New Hartford High School. Nancy went on to work at Commercial Travelers Insurance and on August 24, 1957 married William Van Winkle Jr. of Utica, NY. 
A dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nancy took great pride in raising her children Nancy and William III, and always volunteered to help with their classes at school.
Nancy was predeceased by her mother and father Clarence and Doris Canter and her sister Susan Stofle of New Harford, and is survived by her husband William, children Nancy of Clifton Park and William III (Jeannette) and grandson Andrew of Central Valley.
Nancy enjoyed shopping, travel, tennis and numerous vacations at Walt Disney World.  She loved her family, friends, home, family pets and will be truly missed.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be conducted at Coburg Village Chapel on 11/18/17 starting at 1:00 pm
Nancy will be buried with her family in Green Lawn Cemetery in New Hartford, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Nancy’s memory.
