So sorry to learn of the death of my friend, Phyllis. I worked with Phyllis at Charity Hospital in New Orleans when she was head nurse of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and I was a senior resident in pediatrics and allergy fellow on the LSU service. I am not surprised to learn that Phyllis obtained an MPH. Of all the nurses I have worked with, Phyllis stands out the absolute best. In my mind, she was the Gold Standard of nurses. I loved her as a friend.

Phyllis was my best friend, and like a sister, I know she is in a better place, but I will miss her every day, She fought so very hard to win her battle, but God had other plans for her. I believe she is now at peace and her suffering is over, I love you always.
