Obituary of Carole J. Coffey
Carole J. "Mimi" Coffey, 80, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's home on Saturday, December 23, 2017.
Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late Roland Charles and Julia Margaret Robinson Roy and was a graduate of Averill Park High School. Carole was predeceased in 2013 by her beloved husband, Robert F. Coffey, Sr.
Mrs. Coffey retired from a dedicated 36 year career at NYNEX in Menands.
Carole was a very active member of the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church in Troy and was the consummate grandmother to her four grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Mimi". She loved attending all their sporting events and spending time with all of her family. Carole enjoyed dinner and outings with her phone company and high school friends as well as her "Breakfast Club" at Carol’s Place.
Devoted mother of Robert F. (Teresa) Coffey, Jr. of Colonie and Linda J. (Eric) Duda of Latham, cherished "Mimi" of Devon Rae and Ryan Francis Coffey, both of Colonie and Nolan Francis and Ethan Garrett Duda, both of Latham, sister of Ruth (Ron) Schrom of Liverpool, NY, Betty Turner of North Greenbush and the late Alfred Babcock, Richard Babcock, Roland C. Roy Jr. and Barbara Miller, also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends from school and co-workers.
Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Avenue (at Parkview Ct.) in Troy, by Pastor Karyl Hopp.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Interment will be held in St. Jean's Cemetery, Troy.
