Obituary of Marilyn Catherine Clement

Marilyn Catherine Clement, 77, of Kingsway Manor died on Tuesday Jan. 16, 2018 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on May 29, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Walter D. and Anne Campbell Ryan.  Marilyn retired as the Village Clerk in Saranac Lake after many years serving her community.  She volunteered for many organization; including Sister Cities, The Saranac Village Improvement Society, St. Bernard’s School Library and with the Kindergarten class there.  She was a volunteer also with the Robert Louis Stevenson Society, the Adult Center in Saranac Lake and  the Altar and Rosary Society of Saranac Lake.  With all of these memberships, she held board positions. 

She is the devoted mother of Brian (Melissa) Clement of Clifton Park and John Clement of Burnt Hills; sister of Walter J. (Margaret) Ryan and Audrey Maloney; sister-in-law of Carole Ryan; cherished grandmother of Cory, Justin and Kayleigh Clement; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 in Clifton Park, NY 12065 with Rev. Patrick Butler, Pastor of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park officiating.

Calling hours will continue until 1:00 pm in the funeral home.

Spring interment will be in Saranac Lake Cemetery.
