Obituary of Elizabeth A. Stoff

Elizabeth A. Stoff, 81, formerly of St. James, Long Island , New York, entered into eternal life on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Washington Center for Rehabilitation and Health Care in Argyle, New York.

Born and educated in Jamaica, New York, she was the daughter of the late William H. Stoff, Jr. and the late Frances Bosco Stoff. She resided in St. James, LI, NY, since the age of 12 until relocating to West Palm Beach, FL in 2000 and then taking up residence in Malta, New York with her daughter Kathleen in 2015 for a brief period until then taking residence at the Washington Center in Argyle.

Elizabeth enjoyed writing, drawing and reading, was an avid nature lover and loved being a world traveler.

She was a homemaker and had previously been a Realtor at Lewis Realty and a Nurses Aide at St. James Plaza, both in St. James, LI, NY. She had been a communicant of St. Phillip and James Roman Catholic Church while in St. James.

Mother of Kathleen (Eric Cizmeli) Wolferd-Cizmeli and Jill Wolferd, sister of Frances Brodhuber, Mary Stanislaw, William H. (June) Stoff, III and George Stoff, grandmother of Ryan, Gavin and Austin Cizmeli, Taylor, Courtney and Devin Brown, aunt of Robert Broderick, James Broderick, Dr. Paul Stanislaw, Adam Stanislaw, William H. Stoff, IV, Daniel Stoff, Jason Stoff, Matthew Stoff, Valerie Lawson, Tara Stanislaw and Kerin Stoff.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at  the  Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180 followed by the Rite of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 2:15 p.m. in the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel (in Oakwood Cemetery), 186 Oakwood Avenue, Troy, NY 12182.

Elizabeth's family would like to thank the staff of Washington Center Rehabilitation and Health Care in Argyle for their outstanding care and love provided to Elizabeth on both good days as well as bad.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908, in memory of Elizabeth A. Stoff.
