Obituary of Ela Rosemary Robbins

Ela Rosemary Robbins, 75, of Troy, NY passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 after a long and courageous battle. Ela was born on September 10, 1942 in Nashville, TN and was the daughter of the late James Brown Jr. and the late Sally Brown (née Tyler). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Brown, III and her sister, Veronica L. Lee.

Ela is survived by her husband of 54 years, George Robbins. She was the loving mother of Rupert Robbins of Ithaca, NY and Daria Robbins of Troy, NY. She is also survived by a sister, Fannie Brown of El Paso, TX and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018  at 2:00 p.m. A calling hour will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Ela's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
