DOROTHY M. HUSSEY

 

On December 2nd, 2018 at 1:30 AM, Dorothy M Hussey went home to the Lord, her daughter Sandra at her side.

Born May 29, 1922, she grew up in Sayville Long Island, moving to East Stroudsburg PA where her parents owned the local hardware store. In school she played basketball, was a French horn player, active with the band, the local Lutheran Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star.

In 1949 she married Rowland, and lived over their years together in Indiana, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New York. After retirement they traveled extensively, camping across the United States, cruising the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and seeing Europe.

Born in 1922 as Dorothy M Munsell (AKA Monsell)  she leaves behind her husband of 69 years Rowland, son John and his partner Laura Moriarty, Daughter Sandra Donnelly, Granddaughter Tabetha Leach, Grandson Robert and his wife Melissa, Great Grandson Hudson, and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was loved by all that knew her and will be sadly missed.

It is hoped that those who knew her will join the family in a celebration of her life to be held Saturday December 8th 2018, 11:00AM at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4 Northcrest Dr Clifton Park. A calling hour will begin at 10:00a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to: Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4 Northcrest Drive, Clifton Park NY 12065, in her memory.
