Obituary of Nicholas S. Moreno
Nicholas S. Moreno, 79, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 8, 2018.
Born at Albany Medical Center Hospital on August 16, 1939 at only 29 ounces to Salvatore and Louise DiCaprio Moreno, he was at the time any of Albany's hospitals smallest infant ever nourished to health having spent the first six weeks of his life in an incubator and was fed with a medicine dropper. He slowly gained weight and strength until he was a chubby cheeked, big seven pound healthy boy who his parents were able to finally take him home on New Year's Day 1940. The Times Union would follow his progress from the day he was born until the day of his release with several photographs which include him being held by a Nurse and them both facing and looking at an incubator which he started his life in.
He was a graduate of Albany High School, SUNY Albany and Russell Sage College, where he earned his Master's Degree in Education.
Mr. Moreno retired from the Brittonkill Central School District, where he had been a Teacher at Tamarac High School for over 30 years.
