Obituary of Carol S. Greene
Carol S. Greene, 62, of Garner St., beloved fiancé and longtime companion of Jeffery Kolbe of Cohoes, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded and in the loving comfort of her family on Friday, February 15, 2019.
Born in Cohoes, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harris D. Greene and the late Dorothy A. Jones Greene. She was a graduate of Cohoes High School, EOC in Troy and Mildred Elley in Albany.
She was the owner and operator of Tranquil Intentions Massage and Body Work in Watervliet which she found to be her passion after having been a waitress, secretary and receptionist over the years.
Carol was very passionate about her massage therapy career and business. She was a wonderful and very talented singer of many music genres which she also loved to listen too, has written many poems, was an accomplished artist, had a deep faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Good Ground Family Church in Cohoes. She was known to have a witty sense of humor that we will all miss.
Carol was predeceased by a son, John Paul Fisher on November 22, 1996.
Devoted mother of Karie Coon (Scott Defilippo) of Watervliet and David Coon (Shelley Mayberry) of Cohoes, who are survived by their father Kevin Coon of Elizaville, NY., loving sister of Frederick Greene (Sharon), David Greene, Sandra Madigan (Robert), Barbara Malcolm, Joel LaCrosse, Susan Turner (Byron), JoAnne DeViddio (Michael), the late Bonnie Greene and the late Timothy Greene, cherished grandmother of Karli Ruth and Ashley Carney, also survived by several niees and nephews and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited to Carol’s visitation on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and to the funeral service which will celebrated by Pastor Dona Williams, beginning that afternoon at 5:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh), Troy, NY 12182.
Burial will be held in St. John’ Cemetery, Lansingburgh.
Carol’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all of the loving and caring nurses and patient care technicians on the palliative care team and of the hospice care team at Samaritan Hospital and also to the entire Good Ground Family Church leadership and members and their families for all of their loving support from providing rides for Carol to her chemotherapy sessions and well as for the fundraising and especially to Pastor Dona Williams who has been there as our rock the whole time.
