Obituary of Hollis Toles

Hollis Toles, 81, of Federal Street died on Saturday Nov. 19, 2016 at St. Peters Hospital in Albany. He was born on August 11, 1935 in Ramer, Alabama and was the beloved son of the late Allen and Minnie Stokes Toles. Hollis had worked for the City of Montgomery in Alabama in their sanitation dept. before moving to Troy. He was also a self employed auto mechanic and a believer in Christ. He is the devoted friend of Rachel Youngblood of Montgomery, AL; devoted father of Vera Youngblood, Darryl Croskey, Jerry Youngblood, Reginald Toles all of Montgomery, AL and Walter (Adrian) Howard of Troy; brother of Barbara Jean Robinson and Robert Toles both of Troy and the late Verna Mae Priester, Irene Dulaney and Tommy Pettiway; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565-4th. Avenue Troy, NY 12182 (corner of 115th. Street & 4th. Avenue). A calling hour will precede the funeral service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, NY.
