Obituary of Pamela J. Welch Sandercox
Pamela J. “Pam” Welch Sandercox, 56, of Hudson Falls and formerly of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life surrounded by and in the loving care of her family at home on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
Born and educated in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Arlene Williams Welch and the beloved wife of the late Kenneth J. Sandercox and the late
Wallace G. “Wally” Griffin.
Pamela had been employed at Wal-Mart on Quaker Ridge in Queensbury and had previously been employed at Price Chopper in Lansingburgh.
Pam was an avid fan of the New York Giants and enjoyed cooking, especially her famous chili and hosting her annual Super Bowl parties with or without her favorite NY Giants in it and loved to put out a huge spread of food for her family and friends to enjoy. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3773 in Lansingburgh.
Devoted mother of Robert (Angel Marcotte) Badger, Gary A. (Jennifer Sorell) Griffin, Sr., Daniel (Kayla Dzembo) Griffin, Amie (Lyn “Lawrence” Chiera) Welch, April (John Closson) Smith-Hayes, Justin Sandercox, Leah Sandercox, Kayla Sandercox and to her “special son” Steve Vincent, loving sister of Ronald Welch, Kathy Stebbins, Bobby Welch, Cindy Moak, Lynne Griswold and the late Sharon Brown, also survived by her 18 cherished grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and their families. She was eagerly anticipating the birth of her 19th grandchild on December 11th.
Relatives and friends are invited to her wake on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue (Corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182. A funeral service will be offered at 6:30 p.m. that evening in the funeral home by Pastor Joseph Flynn.
Her family wishes to offer their most sincere gratitude to the Charles R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital as well as to Kelly, Dr. Lia Braico, High Peaks Hospice, “Dr. Bow-Tie” as well as to Price Chopper and Wal-Mart for their tremendous support and care and to all of their family and friends for their continued support, love and care of Pam.
The family desires that memorial contributions be made to High Peaks Hospice, 667 Bay Rd., Suite 1, Queensbury, NY 12845, in memory of Pamela J. Welch Sandercox.
