When I was 6 years old (1956) I was walking home from the local store with Aunt Margaret and she says to me “can’t you walk without bouncing so much “!
She then tried to remedy the situation by having me walk with a book on my head without it falling off, an endeavor in which I failed miserably!
She decided to give up the remedy and said “Freddie, your hopeless!”
I also remember her and my mom doing the jitterbug on many of late night Saturdays! Aunt Margaret tried (in vain) to teach me that too! She was a character, and a sweet person when she had the notion.
