I met John shortly after I met his daughter Kim now my wife, almost 13 years ago. Kim and I have been together ever since. John accepted my son Ian me into his family with open arms and Ian spent a lot of time with John during his winters in Florida. I know he learned a lot from John and had a lot to do with influencing Ian on learning how to play the piano. I'm grateful for all our time together. He's gone too soon. Rest in Peace John.

John came into my life when I was about 6 years old. He welcomed me like a grandson even though I am not related by blood and always had a bright attitude towards life. He taught me things like shuffle board and Go fish when I would spend days with him and Chris at their place in Hollywood Florida. John was great to spend time with and could always find time to laugh and I will miss him dearly.

My dad loved to fish. He taught my brothers and I to fish when we were children. Over the years Eric and Keith became expert fisherman. Keith won many fishing contests and trophies/awards. Sometimes I think about what it's like today for kids growing up ... turn the devices off and enjoy La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) and go fishing. These fishing memories will live in the hearts of my brothers forever. Thanks Dad ... send down a prayer that the fish (especially the big ones) keep biting for the boys!

My deepest sympathies to the DiLuzio family. I have fond memories of Mr. DiLuzio’s visits to Denver when his daughter Kim lived here. At that time we were all struggling students; Mr DiLuzio’s generosity on taking us gals out to eat was so appreciated. Years later I found myself doing the same for my adult children and their friend, and think of how his lesson of paying forward has stuck a lifetime with me. Rest In Peace Mr. DiLuzio.

I would like to extend sincere gratitude to several people in the Albany medical community including: Dr. Richard Lavigne (for his outstanding bedside manner and expertise in treating my father as his primary physician) and his staff (especially Karen Smith, RN Case Manager who reached out and helped me in the most caring & nurturing way that only a nurse can often do with grieving family members with a loved one in hospice); Hospice Inn staff at St. Peter's Hospital (Denise Tapia, RN/3rd shift who consoled me on July 19th when I arrived at 1:00 am at my father's bedside after a long delayed flight from Florida and later consoled my youngest brother Eric when he arrived at 4:00 am from a long drive from Pennsylvania); Mary Pepin/RN 1st shift and Denise Tapia/RN who both provided outstanding nursing services & support to my brother and I throughout the night and when my father died at 8:00 am); Varsha Joseph/Social Worker (who provided grief counseling and a room for my brother and I to stay at "Becky's House" on the hospital campus); security guard (who transported my brother and I to Becky's House); and the numerous volunteers who fed us and consoled us while my father died with dignity at the Hospice Inn. We were overwhelmed with the professionalism, genuine concern and love all from strangers from Hospice Inn/St. Peter's Hospital. With deep gratitude, we thank you all!
